I was just done counting my blessings that I hadn’t upgraded to ESX 3.5.0 Update 2 to receive the brand new licensing features when my heart skipped 2 beats when I read that the ESX License bug was also included in a update for ESX 3.5.0 update 1. I dropped my cup of tea and feverishly began digging trough the patches that I had applied to my ESX 3.5.0. update 1 farm.
Lucky again..the patch was an non critical one so I hadn’t applied it (yet). So again the old(new) philosophy applies: "thou shall not install patches that do not specifically apply to the environment"

My thoughts go out to all VMWare sysadmins around the globe…good luck guys and hang in there..the worst is behind us..
