Is VMWare ever going to fix the alarms?

Today,I was searching the VMWare communities for a solution to a annoying issue that has been bugging me for as long as I can remember. (pretty long I found out..)

While searching through the 178 results I stumbled on this thread where Jason Bouche explains in a feature request what the alarm shortcomings are and that they are quite useless at this point. (the countless warning emails you receive when your VM has a small spike or the option to disable certain alarms during the evening).
Excellent that is exactly how I felt..then I saw the date of the post..over 2 years ago!
Maybe (hopefully!) I missed the boat but to my knowledge these features are still not present in VC today..when VMWare..when..?
