Citrix Password Manager Error when deleting User Data from central store
Yes, another episode from the product people like to call CPM.
I had a testuser with the following error after initializing the CPM Agent during logon
Sometimes the user would get: The Password Manager Service Key Management Module could not locate your keys error
So all the KB articles all say clear out the user data. Ok that seems simple enough:

But things are not always as they seem.
When clearing out the user data from the user I got the message: No user data present at the selected location.
Hmmm, well ok if it is not there let’s clear out the CPM stuff in the userprofile and let’s try again.
During the first login, the user is recognized as a new user..good stuff! Logoff and log back in. Again the same error occurs:
Citrix Password Manager experienced an error during initilization and will now close.
After some tea and yoga I decided to have a look at the user properties.
Start ADUC and select Users, Groups and Computers as containers and "View advanced features"
Now go to the user and check the content:
Now you should see at least 6 items. I only saw 2 (the TKR and Versiondata objects)
This is probably caused by inadequate user rights for the password manager service. I checked the Security tab and saw the the user rights for this user where different that for users that didn’t experience this problem.
Once I re-instated the inheritance the problem when away and the user lived happily ever after
