Live blogging our migration to Powerfuse 2008
Just returned from a little R&R. I’m trying to get everything in line so that we (finally) make our move to Powerfuse 2008.
(Currently running on version 7).
This upgrade has been pushed back due to the many projects I was involved in over the last year.
In the mean time, RES hasn’t been sitting on the bench and have fixed a lot of issues with the 2008 release and introduced even more extra features during the 5 Service Releases.
Today I installed the SR 5.0.1 Release on my testbox. If everything checks out (even though "a sure thing" doesn’t exist in the IT world), I’ll be working this Saturday the 16th to migrate the Terminal Server farm and bring it up to the latest release.
As a mental note to myself and making a journal for my colleague’s who might want to stay up to date on what is happening, I’ll be blogging the "event" as we progress during the coming days..so stay tuned people…same "Bat-Channel" and hopefully a better "Bat-Time" than today :–).
If this post helped you out, help me out keeping this site alive and visit some of my sponsors on the left or right.. Thanks..!
