Powerfuse 2008 issues encountered

I’m using this post to round up all issues that we encountered after the migration had been completed

so that anyone that still has to migrate may benefit from it (can’t imagine that there are still people that need to migrate but ok :=) )
- Instant file associations: the order in which applications are started got “reset” during the migration. Simple fix to put them in the right order.

- Some applications that had Instant passtrough settings enabled were not starting. Fixed by disabling/enabling these settings

- Some published applications disappeared completely from the Citrix Program Neighborhood. Fixed by re-publishing from the RES Console.

- Make sure when using Oracle as your Powerfuse database that you configure enough “processes” Each agent uses about 4-5 connections to the database.

- Application manager called and told me that a certain application calls the windows explorer to start function x-y-z. This wasn’t working after the migration.
He showed me the configuration of this application which had explorer.exe a parameter. Powerfuse has been using its own windows explorer for ages so I was baffled that the function x-y-z had even worked BEFORE the migration.
Maybe the reason this stopped working can be found here. (Citrix Explorer Hook?) I had the Application manager change the path from explorer.exe to pexplorer.exe (guess where the “p” stands for)and function x-y-z was working as it had before.
